Known as the ‘Royal County of Berkshire’, this regal county bordering Greater London embraces its title through many royal connections and events.

Stately homes, abbeys and castles reign over this land, where children will be captivated by legends and folklore and play at being ‘king of the castle’. The River Thames meanders along the northern edge, making it a popular spot for water-based activities to enthral the whole family. Others might prefer to unlock historical secrets at one of the intriguing museums or fill up on thrills and spills at a theme park. Whatever, it’s all here in Berkshire!
