Kent
Although often referred to as ‘The Garden of England’, there is far more to Kent with orchards, vineyards, lavender fields, stunning beaches (try Botany Bay) and oasthouses.
At Dover soaring cliffs of dazzling white chalk mark the end of the North Downs, while inland the massive towers of Canterbury Cathedral soar high above the town. At the water’s edge England’s Napoleonic defences crumble, examples of a fascinating past that will motivate children’s imaginations. You'll find boredom-busters to suit children of all ages - and parents can unwind, too: paddle and play on an enviable array of blue flag award winning beaches and thrilling watersports activities, go wild in exciting animal parks, meet knights at enchanting castles and share in the maritime adventures that have shaped Kent’s illustrious past.
