Sussex
On the whole, high above bright cosmopolitan Brighton, Sussex offers vast expanses of deserted rolling countryside scattered with old converted windmills, representative of a county that is popular for those wanting to get away from it all.
But don’t let that picture of perfect tranquillity encourage you to leave the family at home. On the coast there are many family-friendly towns with excellent beaches including Littlehampton, Eastbourne and Hastings, all ideal for days out at the seaside. While inland the region is dotted with charming countryside museums that are focused on children.
