Abbotsbury Swannery, Dorset
The Abbotsbury Swannery in Dorset is the only colony of swans open to the public in the world. Here you can safely walk amongst circa 600 swans and help to hand feed them en masse at 12 and 4pm every day. Close to the Swannery are the The Children’s Farm and the Subtropical Gardens. A super value passport ticket can be purchased at the Swannery to visit all three places.
Bekonscot Model Village, Buckinghamshire
Even the littlest members of the family can be giants for the day at Bekonscot Model Village in Buckinghamshire. Established in l929, Bekonscot Model Village captures 1930s rural England through its displays of little model houses, moving models and the incredible outdoor Gauge 1 garden model railway. This miniature wonderland where nobody grows up is sure to provide the whole family with an unforgettable day out.
Drusillas Park, East Sussex
Drusillas Park offers a fun finding-out day out for all the family, but especially the smallest members! Brilliant play areas at the park such as Go Banana! and Amazon Adventure are ideal for your toddlers. Fantastic Family Friendly events take place throughout the year, so if you want to meet Shaun the Sheep or Peppa Pig then Drusillas is the place to be!

Kent Life, near Maidstone, is a premier heritage farm attraction stretching over 28 acres. Families can immerse themselves in its fascinating heritage, there are exciting new indoor and outdoor play areas, pony rides, rare breeds, discovery trails and a new hands-on Pets Corner. Plus year-round events will make sure that every visit brings a new experience.
The Look Out Discovery Centre, Berkshire
This fantastic hands-on science and nature centre lets children learn in a fun and exciting environment. With over 90 exhibits such as the hot air balloon, hydrogen rocket, light harp, simple circuits, the stream there is so much to do to keep everyone entertained. Plus, there is a 22metre tall tower, adventure play area, picnic area, gift and coffee shops, set in 1,000 hectares of Swinley Forest.
The River and Rowing Museum, Oxfordshire
The River and Rowing Museum is a fantastic day out, not only does it chart the history of Henley town and the history of rowing, but it is also home to a fabulous Wind in the Willows exhibition. The littlest members of your family will love following the story of Mr Toad, Ratty, Badger and Mole along the banks of the River Thames as E.H. Shepard's famous illustrations are brought to life via 3-D models.
