A great little award-winning attraction, the Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre in Buckinghamshire is fantastic for anyone who has read a Roald Dahl novel.

Situated in Great Missenden where Roald Dahl lived for over 36 years, the Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre was created as a home for the author’s archives and as a place to inspire creativity.  Regular tours of the archive are conducted by the resident archivist.

Two fun, interactive and fact-packed biographical galleries tell the fascinating story of Dahl's life - aimed at 6 to 12 year olds and their families.  Be sure not to miss the fun filled Story Centre, which puts your children’s imagination on centre-stage.  At the Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre, the young and old alike are encouraged to dress up, make up stories, words and poems as well as get arty in the craft room.

The onsite shop at the Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre is a treasure-trove of books, toys, gifts and pocket-money items.  If you’re feeling hungry, pop into Café Twit for a great range of homemade soups, sandwiches and cakes.
