Waddesdon Manor
Waddesdon Manor offers varied and exciting activities and events for children and families throughout the year, both in the House and in the Gardens.
For Autumn and Winter you can learn how to sew, attend a drama workshop or come along and enjoy our 18th Century Family Day.
This year our Christmas theme is ‘A Traditional German Christmas’, the East Wing of the house will be beautifully decorated with songs and carols playing in the background. Why not come along and meet Father Christmas at the weekend as he walks around the gardens, or write him a letter and post it in the Power House.
The Woodland Playground at Waddesdon Manor, with the addition of a contour slide for older children and a swing for the less able bodied, continues to be a popular area for children of all ages. The Explorer Trail takes you around two routes in the Gardens, discovering all sorts of fascinating facts about animals and plants along the way. Don’t forget to collect your badge from the Stables Shop when you have finished the trail.
Inside the House we have a family audio tour, a children’s trail (the Waddesdon Safari) and a family guide to the Drawings Exhibitions. So there is plenty for younger visitors to enjoy at Waddesdon this Autumn and Winter.
